Balcones Country Club is a private 36 hole full service country club centrally located in Austin, Texas. Balcones is the oldest country club in Austin in its original location. The club was established in 1959. The Balcones course and the Spicewood course are at separate locations.
The Balcones front nine, the original course, is a great nine to get loosened up on. The front nine has tree lined fairways and everything is laid out in front of you. The back nine is a different story. Holes 10 thru 18 are also tree lined but the holes go through the neighborhood with out of bounds on both sides. The course plays to 6200 yards from the back tees (70.2 rating & 118 slope), but with our strategically placed trees it will play much longer.
The Spicewood Course was built in 1970 and plays more like hill country golf. The beautiful views from different tees and greens will leave you enjoying yourself no matter how you played. Spicewood offers 4 sets of tees and from the back tees plays to 6600 yards (71.8 rating & 120 slope).
